Hi, I'm Manuel Ceniceros from Chula Vista CA United States

Manuel Ceniceros began his photographic journey over 44 years ago working mainly in Southern California. He started his career as a photojournalist working for both news services and magazines covering mainly hard hitting topics and sports. During his career he witnessed several life changing events, such as the San Diego McDonalds massacre of 1984 and the Mexico City Earthquake in1985. After the birth of his first child he decided to change his photographic path.

He then turned to fashion photography for the last 36 years of his career. Upon retiring a few years ago, he returned to photography as a personal passion.

His neurodivergence helps him see the beauty and strength in the mundane.
What others dismiss and walk by, he finds magical. He works mainly in black and white to remove the reality from the image allowing the viewer to see what he saw before taking the photograph.
