About Marieta Landkroon
Marieta Landkroon is a photographer and filmmaker based in Ruurlo, the Netherlands. She holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies, where her research into the relationship between film and philosophy continues to shape her artistic approach.
Driven by a desire to develop her own visual language, she continued her education at the Fotoacademie and Fotovakschool in Amsterdam, where she trained in both analog and digital photography. After two years, she chose to follow her own path, collaborating with established creators in the Netherlands and abroad.
Alongside her autonomous work, Landkroon gained experience within the film industry through her work with and for institutions such as the Netherlands Film Festival, EYE Filmmuseum, and JaJa Film Productions. With over fifteen years of experience, her work has received international recognition, including awards and honorable mentions in Moscow and Hollywood.
Her practice is informed by a wide range of influences, including film, fine art, music, philosophy, fashion, and nature. Through her distinctive visual style, she creates images that are both personal and evocative, balancing aesthetic sensitivity with conceptual depth.
