Hi, I'm John Moore from Bartlesville OK United States

I was raised in the USAF. Admittedly, I hated constantly standing before class introduced as the new student, until realizing Moms' insistence to live among civilians provided opportunity to experience different regional lifestyles. Kids my age pretending to be Daniel Boone; Davey Crocket; Matt Dillon, I travel our back yard, stick in hand poking holes in the ground to plant imaginary apple seeds. My hero Johnny would be proud...Mom? Her Beauty, Kentucky twang yet echos, "Boy! You are one weird sum-buck!" The moment before graduation in 1971."I'm going to be a poet" slipped out from my mouth to her ear, the anticipated tirade explosion only a fizzle.
"Boy, I gave you a beginning and an ending; hope you can fill in the middle!"
The middle?
Drifting through a decade supposedly gathering experiences worthy of creating images with words. Being accepted
into Shawnee State Poetry Circle an introduction to educated poets. Written images printed in obscure literary magazines creating moments of excitement. Perhaps, in hindsight, claiming to acquire experiences for poetry.an excuse to drift. Drifting did provide time to enjoy particular moments in time; a spectacular sunset; an incredible scenic; strange images: Moments appreciating the idiom, "A picture is worth a thousand words!"
