Hi, I'm Ian Torr from Brantford ON Canada

I spent my formative years working and travelling the world as a classically trained musician. My love for the arts also lead me to buy my first camera, and shortly after that, my first darkroom setup. My medium of choice was black and white. Monochromatic images just seemed to align with the way i saw the world. Digital photography came along and opened up a whole new world of possibilities for creative expression using black and white, and colour. After having moved from the U.K to Canada in the late 1990’s i quickly discovered the beauty of North American cities and how photogenic they were. This, combined with my passion for travelling to other parts of the world with my camera, enabled me to collect a modest amount of work to continue my photographic journey. I follow this lifelong passion with the mindset of continuing to evolve, and striving to see the world in new and different ways.
