About Guido Nietmann
Guido Nietmann is a Brazilian photographer, author, and cultural producer based in the historic coastal town of Paraty, Rio de Janeiro. His work focuses on the intersection of culture, heritage, gastronomy, landscape, and human experience, documenting the richness of Brazilian life through both documentary and artistic approaches.
As the creator of the Eu Amo Paraty project, he has built an extensive visual archive dedicated to the cultural and environmental heritage of the Paraty and Ilha Grande region. His photographs have been featured in books, exhibitions, tourism initiatives, and editorial publications. In 2020, he was awarded a Gold Medal at the Brasília Photo Show for his work in the Gastronomy category.
Through photography, Guido aims to preserve memory, reveal overlooked stories, and strengthen the connection between people and the places they inhabit.
