Profile: Samuel Ogedengbe

Hi, I'm Samuel Ogedengbe from Manchester United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

My journey into visual storytelling began in my second year at university in 2011, when I launched a small magazine project. Although the magazine did not continue due to limited resources, the experience introduced me to the power of images in telling stories, expressing identity and capturing culture — and it became the foundation of my passion for photography.

Following this, I developed my photography skills through self-taught learning and hands-on practice, later refining my craft through professional mentorship under Shola Animashaun Photography in Nigeria in 2017. These formative years shaped my creative approach and strengthened my understanding of authenticity, emotion and storytelling.

This foundation led me to establish my own walk-in photography studio in Nigeria in 2020, where I worked closely with individuals, families and brands to create meaningful, story-driven imagery. Running my own studio further developed my leadership, client engagement and creative direction skills.

In 2023, I relocated with my family to the United Kingdom to pursue an MSc in Business Management at the University of Hertfordshire. This experience expanded my understanding of the business side of creative practice, allowing me to merge strategic thinking with artistic expression.

In January 2025, I officially relaunched my photography business in Manchester under FreshMind Visuals Ltd, continuing my mission to create visuals that stand out, tell real stories and preserve lasting memories across cultures and communities.
