Dark Indigo (born Moreno Matković, 1988) is a Croatian fashion photographer and digital artist known for his haunting, emotionally charged visuals and fearless creative voice. Born and raised in Viškovo, Croatia, his early life was shaped by the realities of war, hardship, and social isolation — experiences that deeply inform his work today.
Describing himself as someone "forever chasing windmills," Dark Indigo has always felt like an outsider. He has lived his entire life as a straight edge artist — never having touched alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs — and takes pride in his clarity of mind and commitment to truth. His art reflects that same uncompromising stance: raw, unapologetic, and emotionally honest.
Through dark, cinematic imagery, he challenges cultural norms and confronts personal and societal trauma. He is unafraid to speak out about injustice, even when it risks his career — believing that truth, when combined with beauty and intent, is the most powerful form of resistance.
