Hi, I'm Daniel Bellman from NY United States

Daniel Bellman (1977) is an Italian and American photographer based in New York City. Discovering a fascination for cameras and film at an early age, he started taking pictures in his twenties in his spare time, mainly on the street. He likes to think of street photography as a practice akin to searching water with a dowsing rod. Over years of indulging a habit of taking his camera out for a walk with no apparent reason other than engaging in a random search, a coherent body of work has spontaneously taken shape, much like foliage sprouting from a tree.

Through a distinctive style born of an innate skill for capturing harmonious compositions, a keen awareness of the subtleties of light, and a narrative quality stemming from a solid background in filmmaking, he strives to evoke a possibility: that under the mundane, casual surface of reality there lies a subtle transcendental layer infusing meaning into our existence — a crucial aspect of life that tends to be neglected in an era permeated by a distracted and disenchanted attitude.
