About Kamyab Saraei
I am an independent Iranian filmmaker, photographer, and theater graduate specializing in acting. My artistic practice focuses on memory, identity, and everyday life through minimalist visual storytelling and a personal cinematic approach. I work mainly as a one-person filmmaking team, taking responsibility for writing, directing, cinematography, and editing my films.
My debut short film, The Cassette Tape (2025), was officially selected for the Persian Film Awards in Canada. Alongside filmmaking, I continue to develop experimental photography projects that explore the poetic relationship between image, time, and lived experience.
