About Koga Nakatsuka
I am a Japan-based fine art photographer specializing in aviation photography that places the sky at the heart of every image. Rather than simply documenting aircraft, I seek to portray the relationship between human engineering and the natural world, using the sky as the central narrative of my work.
Through the deliberate use of light, contrast, and composition, I transform moments of flight into visual expressions of memory, direction, freedom, and hope. To me, an aircraft is more than a machine—it is a symbol of humanity's ambition to reach beyond limits, while the sky serves as a timeless stage where those aspirations unfold.
My goal is to create photographs that invite viewers to look beyond the aircraft itself and experience the emotion, atmosphere, and story carried within the sky. Every image is an attempt to reveal a perspective that is both technically precise and artistically meaningful.
My work has been recognized in international photography competitions, and I continue to explore new ways of expressing the dialogue between aviation and the sky through fine art photography.
