
Hi, I'm Katja Klassen from Cologne Germany
Katja was born in Syktyvkar, in the north of Russia. She has always had a passion for photography, but in the last two years, her interest has intensified significantly. In the spring of 2024, Katja quit her job in the finance sector to fully dedicate herself to her true passion – photography.
Her works have been published in magazines such as Jute Magazine, Figgi Magazine, Edith Magazine, Marika Magazine, Quadro Magazine, and many others. In October 2023, she presented her first photography project, "Motherhood from a Different Perspective," at the group exhibition Supernova, organized by Katharina Mikhrin in Cologne.
In March 2024, her project "Our Heritage: Trash" garnered significant attention at a photography exhibition in Aachen. One of the photos from this project made it into the Top 40 of the SPC Awards in Cologne in October 2024 and was even sold during the exhibition.
In September 2024, Katja showcased her photo series "Krav Maga Girls" at the city gallery SUPERRAUM in Dortmund as part of the updated Supernova exhibition. In January 2025, she also presented her new photography project "Alone with Oneself" at SUPERRAUM.
In April 2025, works from "Our Heritage: Waste" were presented to an international audience at the Art Expo New York.
