Hi, I'm Juleah Claar from Wädenswil Switzerland
Juleah Claar (Leah) is an American photographer based in Switzerland, working in both film and digital. With a background in anthropology and a decade in the corporate world, she returned to photography in 2016, bringing a distinct observational and cultural perspective to her work.
Her photography explores street scenes, nature, and cultural traditions, capturing raw human moments through creative storytelling and fusion techniques, combining multiple exposures in post-processing to create layered, evocative images. Awarded, published, and exhibited internationally, her work has appeared on a Times Square billboard, in galleries, magazines, and books, and across nearly 200 gallery, tourism, and social media platforms.
As a highlight, she was selected for an international drawing interpretation project in which over 100 artists reinterpreted one of her photographs, underscoring the cross-disciplinary reach of her work. Her practice continues to examine everyday life through an anthropological lens, blending observation, art, and cultural insight.
