Hi, I'm Geebran Warchausky from Valencia Venezuela

Geebran is a Venezuelan filmmaker and photographer originally from Valencia. He studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy (USA) and specialized in screenwriting at the Academia Internacional de Cine de São Paulo (Brazil). His directorial career spans Venezuela, Brazil, and the United States, including directing short films and working on documentaries, commercials, and features for Brazilian production houses. His screenwriting work includes the acclaimed shorts Helenia and Forerunner. Later, in Mexico City, he directed music videos for significant international bands.

Beyond his film work, Geebran is a dedicated world photography artist, focusing on capturing authentic cultural events and traditions. A major theme in his photography is the documentation of unique carnival celebrations. He has created extensive photographic series on the lesser-known, traditional rural carnivals in Brazil, preserving the imagery of their unique regional folklore. Furthermore, his work deeply explores the iconic Chinelos Carnivals in Mexico, particularly the vibrant and rhythmic events of the Tepoztlán Carnival, capturing the essence of the masked dancers and the communal spirit. Geebran currently resides in Valencia, Venezuela, developing new projects.
