Douglas Capron started his visual arts career filming music documentaries. This progressed to taking portraits of musicians and designing album covers, inspiring him to explore photography as an art form. In 2002 he experienced an epiphany during the documentary film, The Eloquent Eye, exploring the life and work of Alfred Steiglitz, and decided to commit seriously to the photographic arts.
