Hi, I'm David Sagatelov from Tbilisi Georgia
I’m David Sagatelov, a Georgian photographer based in Tbilisi. My journey in photography began with recognition in the Agora Awards in 2016, followed by an exhibition at the Eyeem Awards in 2018. In 2020, I became a finalist in the Kolga Awards, and recently, I was honored as a finalist in the 2024 Kolga Tbilisi Photo Award for Mobile Street Photography. I’ve also won the Photopolis Parenthoods 2024 and the CIP Festival Street Photography in 2024.
My work has been exhibited in the Holoseum & Invisible Hand exhibition in 2023, and published on platforms like Hello Blog TBC and 500px. Additionally, I’ve been featured and mentioned in several websites and journals, including Akhmeteli Theatre, Bogart Georgia, Georgian Journal, Elle Italia, Business Mirror, National Geographic Georgia, and Street Gallery.
For me, photography is about more than capturing a moment—it’s a means of preserving freedom of expression, speech, and individuality. While respecting privacy and public safety, I believe in pushing the boundaries of creative exploration, all while honoring the rights of others.
