Hi, I'm Mark Lucia from Somers CT United States

I've been doing photography for 53 years. I started in high school. I'm soon to be 68 years old, I got into it in more depth when I got out of the military in the late 70s I went to college and got a degree in photography and multimedia. I took a room in our house and converted it to a dark room. I've taken thousands and thousands of pictures more than I could count. I belong to several organizations which sent me on adventures to take photography. I've taken photography of race cars. I was on a fire department for 30 years. I took many photos over the years pertaining to that. I worked closely with fire facials to help investigate fires and unfortunate accidents. Everywhere I go I take photos. I just can't get enough of what surrounds me. I tell everybody that the world around you I tell people that what you look at tells a story whether it be landscaping General pictures animals especially everywhere else I go I take pictures. I can't take enough pictures. I can't tell you how many pictures I've taken in my lifetime so far.. I had a career as an auto appraiser for 25 years out of large auto auction in New England where I live and I've taken thousands of pictures. I'm sure at my job over 25 years now I'm retired and I'm picking up my camera again and I just shoot I find a subject and I shoot it. I must take between 50 and 100 pictures a day sort them out and keep the ones that have meaning and say something and this is what I preach to students that I teach I've proud to say that I've taught my son and my daughter they're wonderful photographers and now I'm teaching my 14-year-old grandson, which is wonderful thing for me at this point . My daughter went to school for modeling and she was one of my favorite subjects growing up.. so I just love to take photos. I don't care if it's a bug or this beautiful moon or my squirrels. I just take pictures of everything I can and I post them on my Facebook and I my friends. Just love it. They get after me if I have any new pictures they want to see them. They encourage me to enter my photos now in contest. I'm just looking for the rest of my life through my lens and to enjoy my world. .
