Hi, I'm Aline Rizk from Bronxville NY United States
My photography is shaped by a lifelong career in architecture (over 50 years). I am driven by the instinct to bring order to chaos—to distill, to simplify. Less is more. I am also a recorder of time, visiting my favorite locales to document change.
The strongest architecture and the most compelling photographs share a common quality: they are grounded, enduring, and timeless, maintaining their integrity as the world around them shifts. My work brings together that architectural sensibility with more than forty years of experience behind the camera.
I am drawn to what I consider “pure” photography—images that remain faithful to what is seen. My aim is not just to capture a scene, but to translate the experience of being there: the light, the stillness, the atmosphere. I want my photographs to spark curiosity—inviting viewers to question, to explore, and to discover how a fragment connects to a greater whole.
In both photography and architecture, restraint is essential. The strongest work contains nothing unnecessary. When everything extraneous is removed, what remains is honest, self-contained, and lasting.
My Work is meant to be shared, exhibited, and experienced in person. Images that invite pause. Much of my focus is on architectural and natural detail, where complexity reveals itself over time. I seek out shots that capture the poetic side of brutalism
