Hi, I'm Payam Akramipour
Payam Akramipour is an Iranian visual artist, researcher, lecturer, and photographer who graduated from the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Tehran, the most prestigious university in Iran. He has over a decade of experience in photography.
In his teenage years, he began learning two Iranian musical instruments, the Tar and Setar, and composed several pieces of music. After a while, he developed an interest in photography and enrolled at the Culture and Art University of Kermanshah to pursue a BA in photography. Later, he was admitted to the University of Tehran for a master’s degree in photography, aiming to excel in both artistic and scholarly fields.
Akramipour has held several solo photo exhibitions and has received multiple photography awards. His artworks have been featured in many international photography festivals, and he has been interviewed and featured by major Iranian media outlets, including IRIB Kermanshah (State Television, Iran), Shargh, Hamshahri Newspaper, IRNA News Agency, and Sedaye Azadi Newspaper. His work has also been internationally featured by Side Gallery (MySide, UK) and Kreatif magazine (United States), where a profile article discussed his artistic projects and published several of his images.
