In The Staged Women Portrait Photo Contest, we invite photographers to create expressive, directed portraits that celebrate presence, character, beauty, strength, and individuality.
This contest focuses on posed portrait photography. The subject should be aware of the camera and intentionally presented within the frame. We are looking for controlled, directed images — not candid or movement-based lifestyle moments.
From studio portraits to environmental setups, fashion-inspired frames, fine art concepts, and creative styling, every element should support the portrait’s mood and visual impact.
Color or black & white images are welcome.
What We’re Looking For
Posed portraits — the subject is aware of the camera and intentionally presented
Expression & presence — strong emotion, attitude, elegance, or mood
Creative styling — wardrobe, makeup, hair, props, or setting that supports the image
Light & composition — thoughtful lighting, framing, posing, and visual balance
Character & individuality — portraits that reveal personality and story
Artistic direction — studio, environmental, fashion, fine art, or conceptual portrait work
