Work shapes communities, supports families, preserves traditions, and builds the world around us.
In The Human Workforce Photo Contest, we invite photographers to document people at work and celebrate the skill, effort, dedication, and resilience behind every profession.
From construction workers, farmers, factory employees, fishermen, mechanics, and craftspeople to chefs, artists, healthcare professionals, street vendors, and service workers, this contest is open to photographs representing all forms of human labor.
We are looking for authentic moments that reveal more than a profession. Show us the concentration in a worker’s expression, the movement of skilled hands, the physical demands of the job, the surrounding environment, and the human stories behind everyday work.
Documentary, environmental portrait, street, industrial, artistic, and storytelling approaches are welcome. Color or black & white images may be submitted, as long as people and their work remain central to the photograph.
What We’re Looking For
People at work — authentic images of individuals or teams performing their jobs, trades, or daily responsibilities
Skill & craftsmanship — moments that reveal knowledge, precision, experience, and dedication
Physical effort — movement, strength, challenging conditions, and the demands of labor
Working environments — factories, farms, workshops, construction sites, kitchens, offices, streets, and other workplaces
Human storytelling — expressions, gestures, relationships, and details that reveal the person behind the profession
Respectful representation — honest and dignified photographs that honor workers and their contributions
