Sometimes the most beautiful stories are told by things that do not move. A simple flower, a bowl of fruit, an old book, or a carefully arranged collection of objects can become a captivating work of art through the photographer's vision.
Welcome to Ordinary Objects, Extraordinary Art – Still Life Photo Contest 2027, where we celebrate the art of transforming ordinary objects into extraordinary photographs.
We invite photographers to explore the beauty of still life through composition, light, color, texture, and imagination. From classical arrangements inspired by traditional paintings to modern minimalist compositions, creative food photography, and conceptual still life scenes, this contest welcomes a wide variety of artistic approaches.
Your subjects may include flowers, fruits, food, beverages, books, antiques, household objects, glassware, ceramics, fabrics, or any other inanimate objects arranged or photographed with artistic intention.
Whether you prefer dramatic lighting and rich colors, soft natural light, bold contrasts, or clean minimalist compositions, we want to see how you bring character, emotion, and visual interest to objects that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Both color and black & white photography are welcome. Studio and naturally lit still life photographs are accepted.
IMPORTANT: This contest focuses on intentionally composed still life photography. Lifestyle photographs, casual snapshots, and random photos of everyday objects will not be accepted. Submissions should demonstrate thoughtful arrangement, lighting, composition, and a clear artistic vision.
What We're Looking For:
• Classical and painterly still life compositions
• Creative arrangements of everyday objects
• Food, beverages, fruits, and culinary still life
